Organic cup trap for the Spotted Wing Drosophila Drosophila suzukii
The RIGA cup traps were developed specifically for monitoring and mass trapping of the Spotted Wing Drosophila. The organic attractant contained in the cups is particularly attractive to the fly and was developed with the support of the Swiss agricultural research institute Agroscope in Conthey and Changins. In combination with appropriate crop hygiene, the traps can be used highly effectively as part of an integrated pest monitoring and management system for D. suzukii. The traps can be used both in conventional and organic fruit production. More information about D.suzukii and its control can be found on www.drosophilasuzukii.agroscope.ch (French and German only) The RIGA cup trap consists of a disposable plastic cup filled with an attractant fluid combined with a range of accessories required for simple and effective installation and rapid exchange of used cups. The disposable nature of the cups guarantees the consistent and high quality of the attractant. All accessories are re-useable and have been developed for repeated use over several years.
1	Cup trap Disposable plastic cup sealed with a foil lid containing an organic attractant fluid for D.suzukii. Cups packaged in boxes of 40. Bulk packing units (pallets) in multiples of 1600 pcs

2	Cup cover To protect the attractant from rain after the foil lid has been perforated. Available in packing units of 50 pcs.

3	Trap suspension wire Wire holder with which to suspend the cup trap & cover from branches or guide wires. Available in packing units of 50 pcs

4, 5	Trap support wire (20cm, 90cm) Wire support for the cup trap which can be pushed into in the ground, allowing the cup trap to be positioned at crop level. The short wire is suitable for crops close to ground level (e.g. strawberries), the long wire is suitable for mid-level crops (e.g. raspberries). Available in packing units of 50 (20cm) or 10 (90cm) pcs.

6	Hole puncher with belt clip Specially designed hole puncher for clean and efficient perforation of the foil cup lids before trap installation. The resulting nine holes are perfectly sized for the Spotted Wing Drosophila
